Band Hero DS Will Come With A Drum Grip

Band Hero DS has been announced, giving DS players a chance to link and perform as a virtual band right at their fingertips. And for players out there who wants to experience playing the drums with their Nintendo DS will finally get a chance to be the drummer of their band.

Band Hero DS will come with a drum grip, which is a piece of rubberized silicon that slips over on the DS Lite. This is designed to enable the feel of rapidly playing the drums rather than tapping the virtual drumset that can be found on the touchscreen of the DS Lite.

This peripheral will come bundled with every copy of Band Hero DS. Not only that, the game would also come with a single DS Lite-compatible guitar grip.

The drum grip and the guitar grip unfortunately would not be compatible for the DSi. Too bad for you DSi users out there.

Sam Raimi to Direct World of Warcraft Movie

This just in, Blizzard officially announced that Sam Raimi will be directing the World of Warcraft movie. Sam Raimi directed blockbuster movies in the past, most of them familiar to you guys I’m sure, with the likes of Spiderman series of movies, The Quick and the Dead, and the cult classic Army of Darkness. I honestly believed that if ever there was going to be a World of Warcraft move, Peter Jackson would be chosen as the director. Guess I was wrong.

Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition For The PC Still Up In Air

It looks like PC gamers who are anxiously waiting for Infinity Ward’s next highly-anticipated game may be denied of a chance to own the “Prestige Edition ” for Modern Warfare 2. Some retailers like Amazon.com, Best Buy and Gamestop have already started accepting pre-orders and most of the gamers who were expecting the so-called “Expensive Edition” for the PC ran out of luck,  as they were only treated to the regular game and the “Hardened Edition” (with behind-the-scenes info, an art book and a code to download the first Call of Duty. There was no such PC listing for the $149.99 Prestige Edition.

Granted that the prestige edition comes with a fully working Night Vision Goggles, it’s a shame that this version could not be available for the PC.This led to numerous requests and questions asking for confirmations straight from the developers themselves as gamers posted questions on the Infinity Ward forums.

Activision and Infinity Ward has yet to confirm if the Prestige Edition would be released to the PC.

EVO 2009 Street Fighter IV World Champion

Daigo “The Beast” Umehara has solidified his title as the world’s best Street Fighter pro player by winning the EVO 2009 Championship world finals in Las Vegas. He defeated his long-time rival Justin Wong, whom he also defeated in a previous tournament World Street Fighter IV back in April. Star Wars: The Old Republic Webcomic

For those of you Star Wars: The Old Republic fans out there, if you haven’t heard yet, there’s an official webcomic available in the SW:TOR website subtitled Threat of Peace. It actually has been up for quite a while. It covers (and will continue to cover) the events before the official release of the game (including the sacking of Coruscant). According to the website, the webcomic is being developed as a collaborative venture between BioWare, LucasArts, and Dark Horse Comics. Enjoy the read, specially those who are planning on playing one of the most anticipated MMORPG’s in development today.

Kid Freaks Out Because of WoW Account Cancelation

This video has been up on the net for a few months now and it’s getting really popular. It’s about a kid who freaks out (really freaks out) when he learns his mom canceled his World of Warcraft account. This kid looks like a drug addict experiencing withdrawal symptoms. It’s really funny at first, like ROFL funny. But as an afterthrought, I felt kind of sorry for the kid. Not because his account got canceled, but because his face is all over Youtube.
